December 28 Hope everyone had a great Christmas, All the babies have homes and will be ready to spread there wings in another fortnight. Shows news to date congratulations to Janice Cook on her Pips Baby puppy in Group under Mr Smeeton of New Zealand up at Lancefield yesterday. Pip is a Pena daughter, Smooth CC's today went to Pena's Sable son and Daughter Taj adn Nessa. The Roughs had a fun run around the ring.
December 20 A quick trip to Kilmore Kennel Club brings Zara inching closer to her title, Freya takes a RCC with RUBOB and Jeanetta and Tony's Katie (Carluke Fantasy Ndreams) takes RCC at her first show. New photo's added to Brontes babies page. Its nearly Christmas!
December 09 Another weekend; another successful weekend for Carluke Collies, Scottish breeds on Saturday December 05 saw Folly collect Puppy in show and Freya BOB and Intermediate in Show. 2009 will surely go down as a remarkable year for us. December 01 Another weekend away at shows, this time Zara came for the drive and collected 2 BOB's to draw her closer to that elusive title. Harley at 6.5 months won his first challenges as well as picking up Puppy in group twice. Nalani was MPOB at just 6 months and Freya won her two BOB awards. The babies are growing fast and as you can tell the website has gone festive. ciao Kate
November 23 Kylie, Folly, Freya and I took of for shows in Portland this weekend just gone, have now decided Portland is really the other side of the earth!!! it seemed to take forever to get there. BUT definately one worth making Freya 3 Intermediate in groups, 2 Intermediate in SHOWS and 1 Best in Group (Group 1) awards, Folly gained her first Challenge points at not quite 9 months and Kylie continues to collect points as well. November 03 What a great fun weekend BEST IN SHOW is what Kylie walked away with after the Working dog club championship show! Thats right BEST IN SHOW just had to say it again. She also collected BOB yesterday at Vic Womens. Folly won another 2 Minor puppy of breed awards and Freya kicked in a RuBOB. Thank you to everyone that cheered, clapped and cried. ciao Kate

October 25 A trip to sunny Bendigo saw Kylie come home with Bitch Challenge and Best of Breed to break her run of Reserve Challenges. Folly stepped up to collect the Reserve Bitch Challenge and Minor puppy in group, Harley was Baby puppy of Breed and shortlisted in the Baby puppy sweepstakes, Freya also came to collect the Reserve challenge and Ru Best of Breed in the Smooth Collies. Thanks to Jim Koraus for taking Folly in the Challenge line up and congratulations on completing Koda's Grand title. Ciao Kate
October 21 Some brightness was added to our lives on the weekend just past Nalani went to shows with her Grandma and collected 2 Baby puppy in show awards and 1st in Baby sweepstakes, Thank you Gael, John and Bronwen. Harley collected a Baby puppy in group award as well. Anush went around the ring like a professional (given her lead behaviour in the previous 2 weeks that was an accomplishment). Folly 2 Minor puppy of Breeds and Kylie a reserve Challenge.

October 13 Some mixed news to share firstly the sad- in the last 2 weeks we have lost our lovely red Sable Tom and this morning his grandma Penny joined in the the galaxy of dog stars that performed every night. Both leave us better for having known and loved them.
The happy news is what has helped us get through the last two weeks Sparkle's Junior in Group at the Perth Royal under German Horst Klienbenstein. Newman's succesful show debut in country New South Wales and our own dogs - Kylies Open in group, and Freya's Best of Breed Ciao Kate
September 18 Well the Melbourne Royal is over for another year, our dogs run of Royal successs has continued, Kylie winning Reserve Challenge and Runner up to Best of Breed and Freya Reserve Bitch Challenge. Folly was second in the puppy bitch class and Nova's eldest daughter Luna (Carluke Luvn Thmyst) owned by Pat Newey was place 1st in the Australian bred bitch class. Congratulations to Jenny and her Conchita and Taj on also winning there classes. ciao Kate
September 16 Congratulations to Yvette Rolfe and Dante (Carluke Total Effects) on there Best in Group 2nd placing yesterday, Dante is very close to his title.
September 15- Only 1 show this weekend just gone, Kylie won BOB, Chanel won her class and Freya and Nalani had a good time. Tremor (Folly's brother) was also there and was Minor puppy of Breed he is sure growing up. Melbourne Royal this Thursday looking forward to seeing you all there. Ciao Kate
September 07- Oh my what a long weekend of dog showing, it all started on Friday a great day! Folly was Minor puppy in Show, Kylie BOB- Freya BOB and Jenny's Sheltie dog Tristan also BOB. Saturday Kylie& Freya again BOB and Folly Minor in group. Sunday Folly completed the hat trick of Minor puppy in group awards, Kylie and Freya showed well but Rough BOB went to Sam Buckleys Marlo, and Smooth BOB to Freya's half sister Conchita, way to go Corina. September 02 - Have been a little slow but YAYAYAYAYAY it is Spring! not that it feels any different to Winter at the moment! A quick recap of the weekend show results - Firstly CONGRATULATIONS to Jenny and Taj on completing there confirmation title at 12 months and 9 days- Taj is Pena's 8th Champion he now has titled children in all THREE colours and BOTH sexes. Taj's sister Conchita is gaining on her title as well. For our Roughies the babies debuted this weekend just gone. Harley taking Baby puppy of breed, Nalani won her class and Anush (who was probably the best behaved of them all) was 2nd. Chanel collected a RCC, Kylie a RCC and 1CC with RBOB, Folly won Minor puppy of Breed at all three shows. August 25 - Firstly happy six month birthday to Bette's babies, yes Folly and her brothers are now 6 months old. Boy how time flies. On the weekend Sam Buckley, Myself and 6 dogs ventured to Adelaide for SA Poultry and Kennel Club under Collie/Sheltie specialists Mr T Wall and Mr J Walsh of Ireland- what a weekend 2 CC's 1 BOB and 1 RBOB for Kylie, 2 CC's 1 BOB and 1 RUBOB for Jenny's Sable boy Taj, and 2 CC with 2 RUBOB for new to the block Truly (Carmel Dowleys Tri sheltie girl living with Jenny). Sam's Taghd 1 CC & RUBOB, 1 RCC, Rani 2 CC's 1 BOB and 1 RUBOB and Marlo 2 Puppy of Breed. Spring is definitely in the air but could do without the wind. Ciao to next time.
August 16 Folly, Kylie and I ventured out to the Park for Lillydale under Mr T Wall of Ireland - very happy to report that Kylie went Bitch CC and R BOB for some nice points. I believe in NSW young Dante who turns 1 today (along with his sister her Chanel, and his brothers) was Best of Breed for some nice points as well. In the Smoothies Pena's children shone with Minnie taking out Best of Breed and Taj the Dog challenge Ciao Kate

August 04 another month already, I have added pages for the new puppies staying at home for the time being, as well Chanel has a new photo taken this weekend just gone. Show news Chanel joins both her brothers as a Challenge winner, Kylie also added 2 more. Young Folly added a couple of Baby puppy in group awards and Pena's Sable daughter Conchita 4 BOB and 2 Junior in group to make a fun and tiring weekend. July 29 Hot on Sparkles heels is his Blue Merle brother Dante in NSW who collected a Best of Breed award on the weekend. Back home in Victoria there sister Chanel won her class and showed signs of finally getting the hang of being a showdog! Folly also came along to show Chanel how its down and won her baby puppy bitch class whilst brother Tremor went 3rd in his baby dog claess. In the Smoothies Pena's daughter Minnie collected the Best of Breed and his son Taj Dog challenge - way to go family. Also congratulations to Euphemia in Singapore who has finished Bronson's Singapore title to know be known as Sing CH Carluke All In Black at Mastershuang - Bronson is from Nova's 2008 litter sired by Sunnyhurst Sonly Brannigan. ciao Kate

June 03 Congratulations to all the winners at the 10th Collie National. Most especially our Phoenix - sire of the Smooth Collie Best of Breed winner and Pena - winner of Top Smooth Collie sire . His children gained 4 first placings, 2 Seconds, 2 Thirds. Reserve dog challenge and Puppy in Show.

May 18- Some mixed news firstly the good, Fancy has safely whelped her first litter of puppies on Saturday the 16th 2 Sable boys, 2 Tri girls and 1 Sable girl, all currently doing well. On the sad side her lovely mother Patsy closed her eyes for the last time on May 07, 2009 gone to chase the parrots in the clouds.
May 03- Congratulations to Wendy Fancote on titling her Pena son Foxbell Full Monty, this now means all Pena children from his first drop of puppies in the showring have titled! Even better is that Monty's daughter went CC RUBOB to her dad in what must of been the largest WA competition apart from when the National was held there. For the Roughs at the same show Sparkle won his class so congrats to Sylvia. Ciao Kate
April 28 - And so it continues, but we didn't even have to go anywhere! In WA Sparkle and Sylvia collected a RCC at only there second show out of Baby. In the ACT Yvette and Dante collect a very nice sized BOB with puppy in group. While here in Victoria Taj and Conchita (Pena children) collect 2 Minor puppy in group awards a CC with RUBOB each and RCC. Our babies have now flown the coup and hopefully settled, Folly does not like being the only puppy! but it means lots of visits inside!

April 22 - WOW what a week we have had! It started with a flying visit to Sydney for the Easter Royal - only 2 Collies were taken for results I would never of dreamed of! Kylie (CH Maurville Dream Come Tru) buck naked went Reserve Challenge and Runner up to Best of Breed from an entry of 45. Freya trumped her however and came home with Bitch Challenge and Best of Breed from and entry of 11 Smooths. Thank you to the generosity of Gaye Jones - for keeping Freya till specials, Sharon Power - for showing said clever girl and Pam Tyler who flew her home as excess baggage.

Kylie then went to Greensborough with me on Saturday to take out Best of Breed under UK breed specialist Mr M Gaunt. she will now have a break to regain some coat. Pena children did well with Jenny's Sable boy Taj taking out a huge Best of Breed and going through 3 judges to be awarded his second Minor puppy in show. The babies are also making there way to new homes. ciao Kate
April 07 Congratulations to Jenny and her 2 Pena puppies, on the weekend just gone Conchita collected 2CC's and a Puppy in Group award, while her brother Taj took home 1 BOB, 1 RUBOB and Minor puppy in Show. way to go guys, they are only 7.5 months.

March 30 A nice trip to Ballarat yesterday to show under breed specialist saw the imediate dog family come home with 2 class wins as well as Reserve bitch challenge and runner up to Best of Breed for Fancy - unfortunately this is probably to be her only show for the year as she is hopefully in whelp. The extended family saw Pena children win 2 reserve CC's as well as Minor puppy in group (Jenny's Sable boy Taj) and Intermediate in group (Janice's Blue girl Minnie) Photo's were taken and will appear in the appropriate sections.

March 20 Only a couple of things, Puppies are growing well latest photo's now added. A quick visit to a dog show - the first at the new Bulla grounds, an unfortunate day weather wise (but the rain is lovely for growing grass!) Kylie collected a RCC in the pouring rain, Pena daughter Nessa collected Minor puppy in group. Thats about all I can think of at the moment, Allison's at horse shows this weekend, so hopefully they will have a good time.
March 10 Ok lots to report from the weekend just gone, the star was definatly Kylie - taking 1 Best in Group, 1 Best in Group '2', & 4 Best of Breed awards. Young Chanel gave us some glimpse's of what is to come from her, following Kylie for a RCC & RBOB at 6.5 months of age along with 4 Minor puppy of breed awards. Freya never one to be left out was awarded 1 CC, 2 RCC, 2 RBOB and an Intermediate in group award, she has just turned 18 months.
For Pena we congratulate Janice Cook for finishing Owen, to now be Aust CH Foxbell Fine Finish Only. Minnie (CH Foxbell Miss Finland) on her Best in Group'2', and her brother in WA on his group awards and those of his rough daughter Splash at the WA classic, also her smooth sister Fling on starting her way to her title. Taj and Conchita Jenny's Pena children also ventured out to win there respective classes.

January 5, 2009! Well we haven't stood by and let the grass grow under our feet during the Christmas/New Year period. 2 Shows over the weekend saw Kylie, Freya and Pena keep there show results ticking over. Verdi is settling in to her new home with Frederick in Malaysia - we wish you both well when you make your entrance into the showring. Chanel is growing into a lovely girl and will be around during 2009. As mentioned in the end of '08's note we are expecting puppies from Bette and Tom in late Feb/early March Ciao for now.
