July 20 WOW I can't believe a month has passed since I posted something in here! Anyway, congratulations to Jenny and her family on there successful weekend just gone, Pena's children did extremely well with Taj winning 3 *BOB, 2 * Group 2nd's (Reserve in Group) 1 Intermediate in show and 1 Consolation to Best in show. Conchita collected 3 * RuBOB, Eva on her first weekend out 3 * Baby puppy of breed and 1 Baby puppy in group. Ciao Kate
June 17 What a fantastic weekend has just passed. Wins all over the place for our lovely Smooth Collie dog Pena's children. In Queensland - 2 Runner up to BEST IN SHOW (at speciality level) for his son and daughter - CH Foxbell Fairly Naked and CH Jencol Thrills Not Frills - not to miss out CH Jencol Tripped Ona Star collected a Challenge and Class in Show award. In Canberra with me his youngest daughter in the ring Foxbell Fashion Plate won 3 CC's 2 BOB, 1 RuBest in group (Group 2) 3 Puppy in group, 2 Puppy in show (ALL BREEDS) and 1 Puppy in show (Semi Specialty).
Pena now has Grand children (from his lovely daughter Freya) about to make there marks on rings in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
The Roughs faired OK in Canberra - Lani collected 2 RCC & 1 RBOB.

June 06 Okay so have missed a few days here obviously, not much to report actually, Nalani won her class and POB & RCC under Breed judge Mr C Dickens of South Australia. Chanel also made a return to the ring after a long coat change absence to win her class as well as Intermediate of Breed. The Smooth babies are about to head to there new homes, we still have 2 Tri Males and 1 Sable Male looking for loving homes. Ciao Kate
May 20 Okay so maybe a little late. On the weekend past Nalani collected herself another Best of Breed , Anush celebrated turning 12 months old by winning Junior in Group and Kylie was just happy to be at a show!. Congrats to young Pip ( a Pena daughter) on her Best of breed on the weekend. A big yippees for Conchita a Sable Pena daughter in Queensland - she has finished her title also collecting Aust Bred in Group along the way. Ciao Kate
May 08 Congratulations to Yvette and Murray Rolfe on Dante's return to the showring following his puppy coat drop, Dante was awarded Runner up to Best in Group (Group 2). The babies are going great guns and starting to find new homes. Ciao Kate
April 28 Well an action packed weekend has just passed, 2 Shows over the weekend saw young Nalani accumulate 2 Best of Breed awards and a Puppy in Group. Monday was Mum's 60th Birthday with a Surprise Birthday party. We thank everyone for coming and having a great night. All the babies are SMOOTH Collies, so if you like the Roughs but can't be bothered with the fluff they make a great alternative 'Elegance without Effort' . Ciao Kate
April 15 Freya's babies have arrived a bit earlier than expected but all are doing very well, she has 9 very cute babies by Bryce - we are so happy with this, Bryce was unwell in December and we weren't sure that he would be able to sire any more puppies for us, Bryce turns 11 this December. A rainy weekend past saw me not show at both Ovens Valley shows, on the Saturday though Kylie bounced around the ring to collect the Reserve Bitch Challenge, no other inspiring news from the show though Oh well!
April 6 Hope everyone had a happy Easter with there loved ones. It was lovely to catch up with so many people at the Sydney royal, we travelled with 4 dogs and they all placed! Anush won the Puppy bitch class, Zara was 2nd in Aust Bred bitch, Fancy 2nd in Open bitch class. The Smoothies Pena was 2nd in the Open dog class. Pena's puppy daughter Pip went better than dad and won Bitch Challenge and Runner up Best of Breed at 8 months old. Nalani (Nova's youngest daughter) stayed in Melbourne with her Grandma and won RCC, RBOB and Puppy in Group and a puppy of breed at her 2 shows. Freya is due to have puppies in 11 days. ciao Kate
March 22 A fun trip away with just 2 Collies to Cohuna for the weekend has seen our lovely Zara finish her title, she has added over half these points since November 2009. Anush our tricolour puppy also joined in collecting 2 Reserve Challenges a Best of Breed and a Puppy in group award. Ciao Kate
March 10 SO how did it get to be double figures into March already! A nice weekend in Noorat has just passed by we were consistent to say the least. We showed in 4 of the 5 shows for 4 Reserve Rough bitch challenges!! Doesn't really help Zara that much. 3 are hers and 1 Miss Anush who was also Puppy of Breed twice. Freya came home with 1 CC & RBOB and 2 Reserve challenge. Whilst being shown in Warragul by her Grandma Miss Nalani you guessed it Reserve Challenge and Puppy of Breed as well! Ciao Kate
February 28 Home from a great fun trip to Canberra, Freya collected her 3rd Royal Show Best of Breed award. Her dad Pena collected his second Royal Show Challenge. Nalani won the biggest Rough Collie class on the day to be crowned Puppy of breed whilst Bette scared her competition away LOL! to win an uncontested Open of Breed (she has not been in the ring for two and a half years). February 21 A busy weekend of dog showing sees Nalani add another Minor in group and Bitch challenge to her accomplishments. Fancy sees the Showring again for a Reserve CC to Nalani and Freya takes a double of RCC & RBOB awards. Ciao Kate
February 17 Congratulations to Penas latest puppy on the show scene- Foxbell Fashion Plate (Pip) on her Minor puppy in group and Best of Breed at pet Expo on the weekend just gone. ciao Kate
February 13 Well a slight change to expected puppies, for many reason largely the weather over the last week. We decided against travelling with Freya up to the lovely Dante, and have opted instead to try our old boy Bryce. So fingers crossed Freya will hopefully have babies mid April to our dear old fellow. Good luck and lots of fun to everyone going to Pet expo this weekend. Our next shows are next weekend and will see the debut of our baby girl Blush - that is if I get her on the lead! ciao Kate
February 08, Lani and her grandma ventured of to shows this weekend. They were well rewarded for there efforts collecting a Bitch Challenge with Best of Breed on Saturday. Then following up on Sunday by going Minor puppy in Group. Well done and thank you Gael. Ciao Kate
January 29, We went to a show on Tuesday (Australia day) no great results but a lovely BBQ lunch with friends. Harley has also just left us for his new life we wish Nicole and her family all the best.
January 10. 3 Succesful show this weekend, Zara collects a BOB, Freya 2CC's 1 BOB for her first 2 shows of 2010 and Nalani 2 MPOB and a RCC today. Nelson her brother won his classes twice and collected a RCC, Luna - Zara's sister a RCC & RBOB as well. Luna and Zara's Smooth half sister Liza was RCC & RBOB to Freya with Pena's newest baby on the block taking BPOB. Bronte and Phoenix's puppies start to leave for there new homes tomorrow :>(
January 06 Well the New year has started and thanks to Pat Newey and Katrina Staniland we have good news to report already. Luna collected a BCC & BOB, her half brother a RCC on Saturday the 2nd Congratulations.
